I just finished the first heist, and while I haven't collected the money yet, I did return the stolen sportbike of Animal Ark's CEO and got $100k in stocks while playing as Franklin. GTA IV is the only other GTA I've played, and it just feels so bare-bones in comparison when stuff like this happens.
As far as cars go, the Grotti Carbonizzare is probably my favorite. It has the rear end of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage Zagato (which I love) and is a two-seater hardtop convertible; I'm having more fun raising and lowering the convertible top on cars than I thought I would. The Carbonizzare also goes fast, looks fast, and sounds great - it's just an all-around great car IMO. I noticed that people will comment if you're driving a nice car - they even take out their phones to snap pics.
The Coil Voltic was a pleasant surprise - the electric motor helps it quickly rocket to high speeds when I floor it. I tried to replicate the Hennessey Venom GT with the parts I have available right now, but all I did was add a rear wing and wheels.
Would changing the brightness in the settings improve the light in night shots? They always look brighter when I take them than they do on the R* Snapmatic page.
I took some pics of this Bullet GT with what looked to be Gulf colors. Would you believe that the driver of the bus in the second picture tried to beat me up when I did a burnout to rotate the car?
Takuro mentioned once that the Coquette is hard to get. I said that it shouldn't be that way, since I was pretty sure that I'd seen it at the beginning of the game in an LP I watched, but I'd have to agree with him because I haven't seen a single one. I want it more than ever now.

Protip without spoilers: You'll get some missions for Lester. If you want to maximize your earning potential, put them off as long as possible. The first one he gives will eventually need to be completed in order to advance the story, but the others can be left until after completing the main story.
If you don't mind minor spoilers and want more info, here's the topic on gtaforums .

As I mentioned, I watched an LP of GTA V , so I know what to do/expect for most things. Thanks, though - I've heard that the last two assassinations are best left for the post-game.

The car spawns are frustrating as hell.
All that time I spent trying to find a Youga (Dajiban) back when I played GTAV every night, and last night I get on just to putz around and finish my 100% checklist.... and there's a FUCKING YOUGA , right outside Micheal's hanger at the airport.

The sheer diversity of cars that I'd seen in videos made it look like the cookie-cutter mechanic had been scaled back. Now that I'm playing the game, I can see that it's still there, if not as drastic.

Ahh, gotcha. And there's five Lester missions, so you can leave four of them 'till the end.

"Would you believe that the driver of the bus in the second picture tried to beat me up when I did a burnout to rotate the car?" Yes I can. In fact one of my favorite things to do is to do a burnout in front of a pseudo-Prius while flipping everyone the bird while laying on the horn as Trevor.
